Anson County Cancer Survivor Story

My name is Kevin Tucker and I am a Cancer Survivor. I am also living proof that ordinary people coming together for a common cause can accomplish extraordinary feats. I often wonder if Relay For Life had not been founded in 1986, if money would be available today for cancer research… research that results in drugs being developed that saved the lives of many people in our community including myself. Some of the money used for life-saving research has come from right here in this county…all of it being raised by ordinary people just like me and you. It’s not everyday that the ordinary person get to be involved in something that can touch so many lives at once. Not just here in our town or community, but on a global level.
